Sorry Tammy, I'm still getting used to how this works. I thought I was putting the last comment on a group discussion page. :) My apologies.

I'd enjoy being a part of this group. I am the department head and phase 1 instructor for the dental assisting program at Community Care College in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Hi Tammy -- you're hereby invited to join Miles of Smiles, a new group for dental folks who ride. We can post all the photos we want, tell stories about our bikes and trips, and swap tips on things we've learned on the road (or on the side of the road!) Please feel free to invite whom you will. Interested nonriders are welcome, too.

Of course they have names (-: My R100RT was Old Paint. The R1100RT was Swoopy. The new bike is the Blue Weenie, because it looks so tiny compared to other bikes we've had. Randy's Kawasaki Voyager XII is Silver Boy, named after a dog we had, and I don't think his Suzuki Volusia has a name. We also have a 1979 "Indian" moped named Older Paint.

Hey, another motorcycling hygienist! How cool, huh? That's an old picture, actually, of my R100RT BMW. Last summer I got an F800ST BMW, but don't have a good picture of it yet. Have you been out this spring? My boss rode his 800 Suzuki Volusia yesterday, but I just haven't gotten into motorcycle mode yet. It's supposed to rain for the next few days here in Ohio, so I suppose it'll be next week before I'm out. Keep the shiny side up!

Do you have a link to the Boston program- I am scheduled to go to Kansas City in June for the Allied Health Educators workshop- part II, but may find funding for this (big maybe)
I would be interested in the Tal Eval program- can you send info on this, too (or a link)

Tammy:
I am unable to attend the meeting due to budget constraints and finalizing the self-study document. We have added advanced techniques to the Boston camp and I have just finished filming for a new video on advanced techniques. It will be right and left handed demonstrations with closed captions in English and Spanish. We will finish editing it and have it ready to sell in June. So much seems to be happening at one time. Isn't that always the way?

Hi Tammy:
Looks like we are the first in the educators' group. I am so glad you started it. Are you teaching with Kathy Hunter? She came to my "Summer Camp Mesa" last year.

What courses are you currently teaching? Have you been using any of our grading concepts for clinical evaluations. We have just finished the computerized grading system for clinic.
It is called TalEval. It will finally be available to schools May 1st. Would love to hear more about you and your program.
Cindy
