Does anyone actually care about Kim Kardashian? Probably not. However, she's still in the "news," and wants to keep her smile "camera ready." That makes me laugh. But hey, I read an article about her because it involved her dentist, and I assume other dental professionals will as well. If Kardashian's publicity will help her dentist's business, then good for him.
I'm wondering if dentists are beginning to ask their celebrity patients to tweet about them, since I'm seeing this phenomenon more often. Not a bad idea for publicity on their part.
This current article indicates Kardashain and her dentist, Beverly Hills cosmetic dentist Dr. Kevin Sands, exchanged tweets. Kardashian tweeted “I am not in the mood for this torture today! LOL I love my dentist Dr. Sands.” In response, Dr. Sands tweeted: “No pain, no gain! We gotta keep that smile of yours looking beautiful.”
Hope that whole torture and pain theme doesn't backfire on Dr. Sands. What do you think about this type of publicity for a practice?
