Now you shouldn't have to worry about taking that trip abroad (you name the international destination of your choice) in order to save money on those dental and/or medical surgeries that we think are so expensive in this country but cost less elsewhere. According to a Nov. 11 Marketwire news release, Seven Corners has launched the first worldwide medical tourism insurance program. Underwritten by Lloyd's of London (you probably have heard of this company before), the program aims to reduce travel-related and medical risks associated with having surgical procedures done abroad. For a small percentage of the total cost of your trip and the medical procedure(s) involved, Seven Corners provides the following items of coverage trip cancellation, medical coverage until the surgery or unrelated accidental injury, emergency medical evacuation, coverage for treatment of complications. medical tourism insurance. Is it just me or is this another way for companies in the insurance industry to try to scare us into spending money on something that isn't necessary?
