I agree, Mary Jane. With advancement in the field of dentistry, or science in general, there are likely to be some "cons." But we must weigh those against the early detection of disease and the "pros" for early treatment.

Vicki, go online to the site Osseo will find some very interesting facts, arguments, statistics, etc. that might enlighten you just a little or confuse you more. When it comes to these kinds of age old discussions, with technology allowing us to do so much more, there are no easy answers. Just more questions and concerns..but I do believe we are heading in the right direction. I truly think that the earlier disease is detected, the prognosis has got to be better.
