Never say never. Justin Bieber is now in the dental business.
The teenage heartthrob has his own toothbrush and floss. Yes, you read that right. And actually, if it will get kids to brush longer, I'm all for it. Come July 1, people, mostly young girls, I'm guessing, will be able to spend two minutes brushing and listening to the Biebs sing "U Smile” (duh) and “Baby,” while the other toothbrush switches between “Love Me” and “Somebody To Love.”
The line of…Continue

Let me begin by saying I am not an Oprah fan. It's not that I don't appreciate everything she has done for Chicago and it's economy, but I am never home during the day to watch her show and I am usually asleep when the repeat event occurs. The “Oprah Factor”, though, is huge. If she selects a book, a car, a gadget, it will have legendary sales and following. Many years ago, she listed SonicCare as one of her favorite thing. Nicolas Cage, New Orleans, and me. Three things that usually don't go together, but they did this past weekend.
New Orleans is at the same time one of my favorite and least favorite cities to visit. I love the food and free spirit associated with the city, but I'm just not that wild and crazy guy who loves to party on Bourbon Street all night and wake up with a pounding headache. One hurricane from Pat O'Brien's is my threshhold for alcohol so, sorry Mr. Big Sign in the…Continue

A dental lab in Utah has come up with a new idea — tattooing teeth! These are really good pieces of art on little bitty spaces. Check it out ... http://www.toothartist.com/.
However, I don't think this has caught on. A web search didn't reveal any celebrities who have taken advantage of the tattooed tooth opportunity, though the idea got quite a bit of promotion about two years to 18 months ago. Here's one of the websites that…Continue

I recently started marketing on Twitter, and I believe that if it is done correctly, this can be a great marketing tactic for most dental practices. But if done incorrectly, Twitter is likely to be a huge time-waster.
I read somewhere that Twitter is similar to attending Chamber of Commerce meetings. If you walk into the…Continue

We recently discussed adding Twitter to your dental marketing plan. Twitter started out more or less as a way for friends to connect on the internet and share simple, mundane details of their everyday lives. Like most social networking platforms it has grown into much, much…Continue
