Periapical and bitewing radiographs provide a wealth of information about the patient’s dental condition. They are indispensable for diagnosis and treatment planning. We’ve gone through a series dealing with the periodontal evaluation. Of course, we next need to formulate a diagnosis and proceed with appropriate treatment. When all is said and done, the patient is then placed in a maintenance program where his/her progress is monitored and documented.
