Dear Dr Savage, Congratulations on your research article published in www.smile-on.com titled "Dental Teams Make or Break the Practice". It was a breath of fresh air coming from a dentist, however it still lacked mention of one important and always underconsidered element of the dental team as such- the poor Dental Technician. Even though we are now a terciary education course in most first world countries, most dentists seldom remember us as part of the team and we are more and more specialized. Our field is a multibillion dollar field and so much of the dental team' success hinges on our professionalism in the proz side. Would you be able to perhaps perform a survey of just how much of dentist's turnover depends on us or is sourced from our work? It would be a very curious document and would make for very interesting reading... and who knows, go a long way to making more people admit there's another element in the team. :)
We are karmic brother and sister! Funny story, but when we met to discuss my first article for DE, we had dinner and just acted like we had been family forever! We ordered the same dinner, had the same likes and dislikes.... so we decided we were long lost siblings. So my answer would have to be YES.... we are truly brother and sister:)
It was great to see you at PDA, thank you so much for the teen daughter advice. I look forward to our future trip to a university to help set her on fire for her education. I look forward to hearing from you.
All my best, Tina
I am curetnly in Dr. Jodi Rump's office...what an insurance benefits mess! Nice people though. All the benefits have been inacurately entered into the computer. The two admin people have no dental experience and are new to the office. The financial/insurance coordinator is Dr. Rump's sister-in-law...nice and smart! Yeah! The patient care coordinator is a patient in the practice...a nurse...very nice and also smart. We'll talk soon about this if you wish. I will send a report on my visit to you.
The drive back to NC was great, I could hardly believe the news report on tornados, following the conference. What a difference a couple of days makes.
Hope you have a Great week ahead!

You'll be able to scroll through all of the groups and select the ones you're interested in. You'll see the Women Dentists Cafe in the list. Just click on the name and it will take you to the group. Let me know if you have any questions.
P.S. Sheri and I are excited about you contributing regular articles to WDJ. Thanks so much for your support! :-)
