As I sat at the Tulsa airport and waited to board my flight to Dallas/Fort Worth, I looked up as the crew began to board the plane and get it ready for takeoff. I smiled when I saw the captain pulling his bag on the plane with a bumper sticker that read, "I have no idea where I'm going."
Of course, it was in jest. He knew exactly where he was going (thank goodness) and he had every tool he needed to make sure the 40-minute flight was smooth and quick (again, thank goodness). I…

Hats off to Dr. Justin Marostica in Oregon for this idea he posted on his blog. I had never put the idea of using your down time after oral surgery to watch the NCAA tournament, but it makes perfect sense. What a great idea to push to your patients!

It’s a big year in the Henry household. My dad turned 70 on Feb. 15, and my parents will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on March 1. Both of those numbers are impressive to me, and I am thankful that my parents are here and in relatively good health so we can celebrate these milestones together.

Do you remember the tale of the Great and Powerful Oz? Sure, you may remember how he appeared to Dorothy and her friends once they arrived in the Emerald City, but do you remember how he got there? Let's be honest. We're all human and we all have gas. It's just a fact of life. People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive? Those Victoria's Secret models? Yep, they let one rip every once in a while.
While it may be in our human nature to pass gas ... or fart ... or make wind ... or whatever you want to call it, rarely do we actually want to smell it coming from someone else. I have friends who have told me horror stories about people farting and then pulling the bed covers over…
