Are you aware of your personal power? Personal power gains strength and motion when you know who you are and freely express it. NOW is the time to break away from the conformity of WHAT We Are in our personal and professional lives, to WHO YOU ARE in your personal and professional life.
Ask yourself today, am I expressing myself as WHAT I AM instead of WHO I AM?
WHAT I AM is the conditioned life we lead unconsciously by the standards of our personal life, career and workplace. In other words, others agendas whether right or wrong.
WHO I AM is conscious awareness of knowing and embracing your own personal identity and expressing it positively on a daily basis. This is when personal power gains strength and momentum.
Reflect on how many times today you allowed your personal power to be lost in the WHAT I AM that you were expressing and feeling. Then, take each time you gave away your personal power to WHAT I AM.
Then visualize how you could of changed each of those moments to expressing WHO I AM and feeling the surge of your own Personal Power and Self Identity.
Tomorrow, take one of those visualizations of WHO I AM and make it a reality. It does not take a big thought or action, but one small step. One small step can be a large leap of Faith in discovering your True Self and Personal Power.

In finding out who I am, I had to investigate my core of rot; those things I wish were not a part of me, but are. I had to choose whether I would be a victim of them, always denying their presence and attempting to run away (which doesn't work), or facing them, naming them, and getting to know them better. That way, they felt acknowledged, heard, even loved. Ironically, when I made friends with my core of rot, it didn't show up in my life as often as it used to, and that includes the various individual elements that often vexed me, hindered me, and wasted far too much of my time. So after embracing the dark side of my humanity, I find I can live in the light more, more often, and much more easily. Notice I didn't say "all the time." It's about 70 percent on good days. OK, it's time for my inner cynic and I to go out and have a beer.

MJ,

I am looking forward to connecting with you. It sounds like we have very much in common; it will be interesting to learn your own personal story.

I have recently joined the Writer's Group and I am happy to share my insights on people and life after over 20 years in dentistry, mainly in dental practice management.
I focus and help people who are seeking to know WHO THEY ARE in life instead of WHAT THEY ARE. Many people, including myself, have found they no longer can or have the lives they once lived. A life crisis happens over night, and often we are not prepared for the loss and grief it can cause. But out of loss can come gain, and with it new opportunities to re-invent ourselves to live life with more meaning and fulfillment. It can bring a fresh look and feeling to our relationships, careers or even a path to a new career.
But before we can do that, we must take back our own personal power through discovering our True Self Identity. To get out of the ordinary you must become extraordinary. This begins when the restless stirrings in your heart and soul awakens the spirit to your own personal power. And that personal power is gained or regained when we are able to fully express our Authentic Self and Voice.
Life can beat us down so bad, we become Stepford Beings of tolerating unacceptable behavior, events and people in our lives. This causes loss of personal power, emotional wounds with stress that can cause physical illness. Now is the time to take your Power Back, to become the strong person you were always meant to be. Expressing our true feelings and who we are should not be dictated by fear or worry about what others think.
I have been on a personal journey to The Woman I Am Meant To Be, a soul seeker of Faith and Healing. I blog on self identity and expression, workplace concerns and spiritual issues as well as my own personal Journey of Faith and Healing at

EXPLORING DENTAL HYGIENE, FINDING THE HIDDEN REWARDS
By Susan Garcia Clark

This book is a must have for every dental practice and hygiene department who is eager to become more productive and profitable. The author acknowledges and augments the fact that dentistry is a business and that the astute dental hygienist is its most valuable asset.

Exploring Dental Hygiene, Finding the Hidden Rewards is filled with tips, tools, forms, graphic aids and strategies to create a financially successful dental hygiene department.

It is segmented into twelve interrelated parts. The first eleven chapters paves the road for a journey into self awareness and development of personal and professional wants, desires and needs by creating a Vision Statement, Mission Statement and Goal Setting. It also sets a plan of action for developing communication skills, comparing statistics, analyzing ways to increase productivity and creating systems to bring new patients into the practice and retain your existing repeat, loyal patients. Chapter twelve draws together the information presented in the previous chapters gracefully and pragmatically to allow the reader to create a template for a Hygiene Office Manual.
