I smiled when I read Jorel's comment. When I get asked the question I think from both the marketing and financial viewpoints, because I own comapnies that operate in both arenas.

I can tell you that the marketing strategies have and will continue to change dramatically over the next decade, but internet advertising is where the fish are biting. On the marketing side, we use internet video ads, podcasts, article marketing, and social bookmarking to drive potential patients to our clients' clinics with strong calls to action.

The financial side is always the same: funding continuous promotion is mandatory, measuring the return on your marketing investment is mandatory, be willing to think-outside-the-box and try new things, but at the same time, continue the successful actions until they stop working well.

Hello,
sharing ideas for our offices is a great idea. fyi delta dental now has the option to offer clients a waiver that allows them two visits for hygiene without using ther maximume dollars..................pass it on.

I wonder, what are dentist doing to grow during this economy?

See, I fully understand that marketing rep's are pro "marketing" to grow, that's what they do and that's often how they see the world. No different from finance guys like me. You tell me that you've got a problem and instantly deductive fiscal reasoning rears it's head and I am instantly thinking about the balance sheets and cash flow statements. That's where my brain goes.

Where do you guys "go"?
