Henry Schein Dentrix® Enterprise selected for national certification
Henry Schein, Inc. has announced that Dentrix Enterprise Dental Practice Management software received National Certification from the U.S. Indian Health Service (IHS) Office of Information Technology and the Division of Oral Health. Based on receiving the National Certification designation, Dentrix Enterprise, which has been in use by individual IHS sites for two years, can now be deployed as the Electronic Dental Record (EDR) solution for all federal and tribal sites in the United States.

Dentrix Enterprise will be integrated with the IHS Resource and Patient Management System to provide a comprehensive EDR solution for IHS Tribal and Urban dental programs. The EDR project aligns with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' strategic goals and supports the achievement of several goals in U.S. President Barack Obama's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, including modernization of health information technology, improved patient care, access to care in underserved rural populations, and the achievement of the "ACCESS for All America Plan" to serve 30 million people by 2015.

Ranir acquires Synpart Limited and Synpart AG from HemCon Medical Technologies, Inc.
Ranir, LLC, a leading oral care consumer products company, announced today that it has acquired Synpart Limited and Synpart AG from HemCon Medical Technologies, Inc. Synpart is a leading manufacturer and marketer of store brand oral care products in the European Community and a contract manufacturer for global branded oral care companies.

Along with Ranir, LLC, Synpart will become a division of Ranir Global Holdings, LLC. The combined company is now the largest store brand oral care company in the world and a significant contract supplier to global branded oral care companies. The acquisition of Synpart will allow Ranir to build a global oral care footprint, increase its product offerings, expand its expertise in oral care and enhance its supply chain partnership network.

Helmut Schlieper joins the Ranir senior management team as President of Synpart, a division of Ranir Global Holdings, LLC. Mr. Schlieper founded Synpart AG in 2004. Mike Levenstein, currently Chief Operating Officer of Synpart Limited, will lead Synpart’s contract business and direct its Asian operations.
